Small Changes (Patreon)

This post will probably get lost as I plan to release a new map straight after this but I wanted to go over a few changes and thoughts I’ve had over the last month or so. I lost a few supporters recently, who gave feedback that I wasn't creating enough battlemaps, as the reason for leaving. Which is fair criticism really, considering I am not only slower now that I used to be but I’m also doing world maps/region maps etc. 

I went from making general use content like battlemaps that everyone could use, to providing specific people with special maps just for them. They might look awesome but they can’t be used by everyone. 

I will however do my best to get back to doing some of the projects I’ve wanted to continue for ages now, such as Feywild maps, Planes maps and Building maps!

Thank you all for sticking with me and supporting me. Without you guys I would not be able to keep doing this and I really want to look after and provide as much content as I can to all my patrons! 

Speaking of which… 

Content Versions

From now on if I have made additional versions of a map such as different colors or themes, I will be putting them on a seperate post just for patrons. Everything else will still be free to use by people but I feel that I should try and provide more benefits to being a supporter. This might encourage some people that use my content to support at just the $1 tier just to get those other versions.

Photoshop Files

From now on Paragon supporters will also be able to ask for the Photoshop files of future maps. I have resisted making this something I can put up on patreon in the past simply because of the file size but if you are a Paragon supporter, you can now send me a message for the dropbox link. Much like the above reason I want to be able to provide a little bit more content to those that are supporting me and this seems like a good way to do so!

I have some other changes and fixes, updates and tweaks to the patreon page website etc all planned but they will be minor changes that don't need a seperate post.

The feywild maps have been super helpful in my current campaign; I've actually been adjusting the adventure to fit the maps better! They're unlike any other feywild maps out there. You're doing great. :)

I understand you might have to do what it takes to continue the revenue, but I for one highly, HIGHLY love your world maps. Each one you've done so far has been amazing quality and I really hope to see more, especially larger ones, some day. I'm also a big fan of your tokens. So really, anything that you make or don't make, you can count on my continued support. You deserve it.

Only thing I would change is me being able contribute more for all the fantastic art and incredible work you do for us all. You're a legend and I cannot that I you enough :) c

I'll resist the urge to ask for them every time, but I'm so stoked you're gonna make the PSD's available! A number of your maps I've wanted to try slice up to try to convert to some tile sets. You're seriously one of the best map makers I've seen, keep up the amazing work, man!

Wanted to say that I absolutely love your world maps, they are breathtaking. Without you and your work and streams, my own map making skills wouldn't have improved so much. You are extremely inspiring and I love seeing everything that you post. Thank you for everything that you create, whether you're able to share it with us or not !!

Glad to hear you're going to be focusing a little more on battlemaps, especially the planar series. As you say, world maps are more difficult to use for anyone besides the inventor of that world.

I was just a follower, but reading your post, and looking back over your previous works, I realized that although you didn't have the sheer number of battlemaps that some other creators I sponsor do, that your work is possibly the most striking, especially your desert series maps that I am DYING for my party to get up to. Hearing you mention lost sponsors, and hearing more battlemaps are to come, I definitely became a patron (At only $1 unfortunately, as being a full time student leaves little left over), and look forward to the maps still to come!
