This is by far, the largest project and series of maps I have ever undertaken. Spread across 12 pages in total (some of which you can't even see here) is a tileset designed for people to create their own forts and castles!

This project was asked for by a patreon but I had already planned to create something like this at some point. Requesting a castle map simply boosted it to the top of the list :) One of my ambitions when playing in an RPG game, is to build a castle for one of my characters from a simple wooden encampment all the way up to a bristling stone keep. With this tilset you can do just that! There are three different tiers of wooden wall, two different tiers of stone walls along with wooden and stone buildings and towers to construct keeps and interiors.

With all the planning, drawing and inking complete the next step is to colour it all, which hopefully won't take nearly as long as it has to put all this together. I plan to have it all done by the end of next week at the latest! Maybe friday.. but don't hold me to that!

Nevertheless, I want to know if there is anything you would want to be included in the tileset as well, so leave a comment if you can think of anything! You have until tomorrow night or about 24 hours from the time of posting to get your ideas included. :)

Ooooh, neat! There's a dearth of nice castles, so I'm really excited about this. Do you plan to have some interior rooms? Maybe a throne room, banquet hall, chapel, etc. Those three especially would be a big help for a castle people are living in.

The fact that this is all done by hand sort of really blows me away. What I see looks fantastic but I second the request for some interiors as well. It's possible to get this to double as a "dungeon" tileset unofficially. Maybe add in interior hallways without dressings and a prison cell etc so we can really mix and match to make anything we want. :D This is fantastic work and I'm really excited for it.

I haven't done any furniture but there are interior rooms! I will add in a few common bits and peices though to help make some of the rooms you mentioned :)
