Asuna In The Baby Simulator ( A Sword Art Online Story) (Patreon)
Content
It all had seemed innocent enough; A fan mailed her a new VR game that they had promised would appeal to her sense of adventure. That, and it didn't hurt when the mysterious writer of the email said he was a member of a team who specialized in making the most realistic virtual games. Said games he listed off to prove his credentials were quite famous, but Asuna had failed to ask just what type of game she would be testing out. Had she known it was a game designed to simulate the most complete recreation of a baby's life, she would've ignored it entirely, but she made the mistake loading up the game and <Full Diving> into it.
Asuna's vision slowly adjusted as her eyes took in the scenery around. The first thing she noticed was a large, plastic device hanging above her. It looked like the inner parts a wheel, all pink colored spokes branching downwards with various little items dancing around as the large device gradually rotated. Asuna wasn't sure what to make of it, the thing looked like a modern art exhibit from her viewpoint. She did notice a simple melodic melody; a lullaby, was gently playing as the odd decoration continued to spin.
"It's a baby's mobile!" Asuna declared. "But why is that above me?"
The young woman could only wonder for so long until she breathed in through her nose. The perplexing fragrance of soft perfume mixed with hints of baby powder fought to mask the odors of ammonia and something far more foul. Asuna filled her nostrils as she breathed in once more and sighed. 'This place smells like a nursery!'
Asuna looked around, trying to find the source of the offending odors, but struggled to move her head. For some reason it was slow to respond and felt oddly heavier than normal. Finally, she was able to catch a glimpse of her surroundings from turning her head to the side and saw that she was surrounded by towering wooden bars. 'I'm in an enormous baby's crib!'
Coming to the realization that she had spawned in a baby's room really irked the young woman. What kind of game would have her start an adventure in a nursery?
"This game is off to a really great start." Asuna sarcastically remarked to herself as she tried to sit up and failed.
"Uhhh, why can't I move?!"
Asuna suddenly felt a great fear wash over her as she continued to try and lift her heavy, almost unresponsive body up. When she had first tried to move her head and it was slow to respond, she assumed it was due to lag, but this was a different sensation altogether. It was like whoever programmed this game wanted the player to feel as weak and helpless as possible!
"What the hell? Is this supposed to be part of the game?!"
After repeated attempts, and a loud crackling sound coming from her bulky waist with every movement, Asuna was able to roll onto her side. It didn't seem like much of an accomplishment, but she heard a chime and a small notification popped up in her sight.
The slightly winded girl opened her <status window> and was surprised to see that this chime was related to an announcement about her ingame "progress". She opened the notification and read what it had to say.
"Congratulations, player! You have earned the skill 'sit up'! You may now sit up with less effort! As you progress through this game, you'll gradually 'age up' and unlock many other basic yet hidden abilities that'll aid you in your own little Adventure! However, you must do this on your own. This message concludes the tutorial portion and we hope you enjoy your second infancy!"
Asuna couldn't believe what she had just read. How was learning how to "sit up" an accomplishment? Just what kind of game was she playing and why did it say that the game wanted her to "enjoy her second infancy?!"
Scrolling through the other options of the <status window> didn't exactly improve the young woman's mood. She grimaced inwardly when she saw that her only "equipped items" were a footed sleeper, a diaper, bib and bonnet. These were her only clothing options?! Then her mood darkened when she saw that the only other option available to her, the <Log Out> tab, was currently locked.
"What the hell am I supposed to do?" Asuna asked the crib bars surrounding her in anger. "How do you beat a game where you're stuck as a baby?!"
