The Legend of Purple Football Guy (Patreon)

Purple Football Guy started as a background filler character in this comic about a Hail Mary. Basically just window dressing.

But some readers saw him differently. Inexplicably, he became a breakout star after patrons in my Discord server started editing him into other Lovenstein comics...

Purple Football Guy even made a guest appearance in a Perry Bible Fellowship comic...

and a comic I co-wrote with Extra Fabulous...

I never thought a throwaway football player would become such a legend. I might have to start putting him in all of my comics and completely rebrand Mr. Lovenstein around Purple Football Guy. 

May his fields be goals and his touches be downs, amen.
