An apology for the Dexter's Mom Patreon Deluxe (Patreon)

As has been made clear through numerous comments and private messages, a lot of you were disappointed about the unannounced change I made to the Dexter's Mom Deluxe animation. (Edit: not a single comment or private message I received was rude or angry in any form. Every single one of them was polite in expressing their disappointment.  I'm not being barraged by people wielding flaming torches XD)

For this, I sincerely apologise. 

One of my main Patreon rewards is being able to vote on the content of the animated pin-up, and then I make that content. And while the main Dexter's Mom animation follows the concept as voted on by you, I thought a different idea I had for the Deluxe would be more interesting. Whether or not the Deluxe I made is interesting is besides the point: that's not what was voted for, and it isn't what won. It was a lapse of judgement to change the concept drastically, and I apologise for the disappointment caused. Every other Deluxe I have made has been exactly what patrons voted for, so this is the rare case of me not delivering not what people wanted. Every other Deluxe was what people voted for, so why did I decide to change it this time? My brain doesn't work properly sometimes...

If you enjoyed the animation, or even prefer it to the original concept, I'm glad that you did. But even so, to change the contents without giving you folks a chance to vote for that change or dispute it is not in line with how my Patreon works. I promise that this is the first and last time this will happen. 

So what will I do about this? I will make another Deluxe at some point that is much closer to the original concept (Dexter's mom going through another pregnancy, but this time the babies double every time she takes a pill) and release that to fulfil what was originally voted for. 

When will I make it? I'll try to find time to make it in between other projects, but if I am unable to do so, I will make it and post it during my June hiatus. Once completed, I'll send it to all March patrons. I promise that this animation will be exactly what you were waiting for. I apologise if I can't make it immediately, but I have to move on to other projects like "Is This Yours?" episode 2 and the runner-up animated gif from the last animated pin-up poll. But in between those, I will begin to work on the Deluxe. 

Not good enough? I will give anyone a refund who was specifically waiting for this Deluxe. This isn't reverse psychology: I've never refused a refund from patrons who felt they were let down by my content. Please message me privately if you wish for me to send you a refund and it shall be done. And yes, you will still get the other Deluxe when it is finished, even if you're no longer a patron.

I like to think I usually make the right call, but sometimes I don't. Switching the concept without much warning wasn't the right call. So again, I'm sorry. _o_

While i was disappointed with the deluxe version this time around, i do appreciate you trying something different. You make great content, and retain my full support.

If I want to do something different, I should do it on content I am making for myself, not on projects patrons voted for >_> And if I make changes, they should be changes that don't drastically alter the project from what people were expected.

I always like your content regardless of the form it takes, so I’m neutral on the whole affair, but all the same I respect the integrity. 🙂

What I think happened is that the Deluxe went off to a separate thing. Your deluxes usually builds or expand upon the plot or theme of the previous works. (Ex. The pills with Zoe or Fawn's escort service.) Part 2 made it seem like you were going to continue with a birth scene in the Deluxe, but instead the babies were already born and the mom is playing Ring-Fit without much of an explanation. The animation in the deluxe is wonderful but is inconstant with the previous parts. I just what to give my honest word and constructive criticism D.P., your work is really good.

All things considered, I honestly take comfort in seeing such a timely and thought out response. I don't mean to rag on other Patreon creators when I say this, but the level of quality, consistency, and communication you bring to the table is rare. One hiccup in creative vision won't take away from that experience, nor will it stop me from expecting more unique and interesting content from you.

Pretty much this is true. I thought I would try just doing a different scenario entirely but really, continuing the pill method would have made more sense in terms of story and concept. Also, birth was never part of the Deluxe plan (the animated birth gif I made gave the impression that I was...woops), but in hindsight could have been the proper way to transition from the normal animation to the Deluxe. Ah well. Hindsight and all that. >_> And I'm never above criticism, so always feel free to go "Hey! This thing you did, I have a few problems with it..." Thank you for the honest critique, Stan!

Thank you. As people are paying money to enable me to make these animations full time, I take great effort to try and make these animations worth their pledge. Money is not easy for many to come by, so if I mess up an animation, especially if it's through a bad choice that was entirely mine, then full disclosure is necessary and recompense also offered. If I expect and hope for people to pledge to me, then I must be prepared to apologise and refund if I do a dumb dumb. Maybe in the grand scheme of things, this mistake might not be considered that grave a problem by a lot of people. But even so, it's enough of a mistake for me to make it clear I acknowledge what I did was wrong, and that I will rectify this wrong as soon as I can. And as I've said before: even if I'm usually consistent, you're totally entitled to speak up and say "Hey! This isn't what we asked for?!" if I make a bad call. I'm not above rebuke. :)

The animation quality isn't the problem, just that I changed the content / focus of the animation. All complaints were valid IMO, otherwise I would have ignored them.

I think there should be some creative flexibility afforded on your part. We got the spirit of elements of the Deluxe idea in the actual regular version, right? I would rather let you decide what works better than be bound to something that in your assessment is redundant. You bend over backwards and consistently go above and beyond in your works. I think you have nothing to apologize IMO.

Well don't stress over it. We love your content but just focus other things that's important in your livelihood. Don't hurt yourself in the process over it.

I usually take plenty of creative liberty, but in this case, I think it was a bit much XD It's not like I suddenly switched to another fetish or kink for this animation, but the change was enough to validate people's disappointment
