These pics were posted with the same pictures, at the same time, with the same text, and reposted after 12 hours. Except one with an external link and the other didn't have it. Data is collected after 24 hours and Here's the result.

Frieren's pic : 52/762 = 0.068

Spy X Pansion : 32/606 = 0.053

Algebra girs : 26/310 = 0.084

Mean result = (0.068+0.053+0.084)/3 = 0.068 Or 6.8%

The conclusion is "If you insert an external link in the post, the engagement of your post will be reduced by 93%

which is quite low compared to what I heard last year...it quite shocked me. 93% engagement lost? That's Hugh. But at least I know.

So if anyone wants to post anything in Twitter, this is the condition you have to consider.

I don't know what Elon's plan is with this. Is he that scared that people leave the site? He's been doing a good job at driving people off of it otherwise... One hack I've seen for this stuff is to have the link in the replies to said tweet, meaning the main tweet retains its engagement.

well, I understand keeping the customers is the strategy and I knew he's not the first one who do this. But 93% is quite high...at least they should told us before we post. haha.
