I really liked this show! And especially the concept of a k-drama with (I've seen a few before but never BL) two guys falling in love! I WANT MORE! Starting next week I'll begin my weekly reactions to Semantic Error, hope you look forward to it!~

I recorded this earlier this week before the passing of Moonbin (just fyi) and before the BOYSPLANET final and after seeing this, I am now seeing Jiwoong in a whole new way lmao. So happy he made it into the TOP9.

I really love this show and had so much fun re-watching with you <3 And another Korean boys love show I would LOVE to watch with you is To My Star. It has two seasons and it's one of my favorites. But also really looking forward to Semantic Error bc also amazing haha Also, while the meaning you got when you searched "chaebol" wasn't wrong, because it does mean big family run companies/conglomerates, the way they were using it in the show and the way Koreans also use it is similar (although not completely the same) as the western term Nepo Baby. Basically people born into money/privilege, in this specific case yeah people born into chaebol families. And if you want a little history on chaebols, basically what that article you looked up was talking about is the fact that a lot of the biggest chaebols in South Korea got their start during the Japanese forced occupation of South Korea during WWII by siding with the Japanese against their own people and making a lot of money while doing it. Of course in modern SK there will be chaebols that didn't get their start that way but are still big family run successful companies, but like I said, a lot of the biggest and most successful ones did.

Chaebols are a big K-drama trope. Basically they're heirs to companies or rich families, so there's a drama reason for them to be rich and snotty/bitchy/entitled/higher level in greater society. There was a history surrounding the title and such, but now they're just a trope, because so many companies more companies are group owned, but the big ones are really big, like Samsung, Hyundai, and LG. Yes, there are mid-range ones, too, but I'd guess there are more drama chaebols than RL ones. ;) There's also a whole drama about them, called The Heirs. I got that they did take the business home, and that it was their co-worker calling out to them from the other room. The whole ending felt a wee bit rushed, and I wish we'd taken out a few drinking scenes to have more explanation at the end, but overall I thought this was super cute and Ji Woong being both hot and a good actor (read: kisser) is just a bonus. Plus, I feel like they may have established chemistry during Kissable Lips that carried over here. I really like them together; Seo Bin's adorable and, well, Ji Woong. Anyway! If you want the steamy kisses, you need to be watching Thai BLs, and I don't recommend that big a leap yet. ;) Thanks for sharing the watch with us. Looking forward to Semantic Error with you!

Speaking of Thai BLs we got two Thai BL actors in the survival show Fantasy Boy. Santa from My Only 12% and Between Us. Yacht/Yaya he’s in Love By Chance and also in Between Us, which is a sequel to another BL Until We Meet Again which gets very emotional so I wouldn’t suggest UWMA as a first to get into. My Only 12% is a fluffy BL which can be a great starter to get into if you want to dip your toes into the wide range of Thai BL.
