First of all, I wanted to include more trainees in the thumbnail but the stupid white background light during the ending pose scenes ruined everything.
Second of all, please ignore what I said about having seen Park Hanbin in the audience, I was very wrong I noticed when I looked it up 🌝

Matthew, we love you, feel your feelings, they're completely valid and don't let MNET's shady editing deprive you of that! (as if he's reading this LMAO)

The family scene was so sweet, even though so many of the international trainees probably didn't have any family there, I hope they got a letter or something like that, at least!
LIP J, YOU ARE MY QUEEN!

HOPE YOU LIKE IT 💙 LOVE YOU ALL

The editing throughout this episode is so strange?? Like in the middle of the Supercharger practice, you just get thrown straight into a Say My Name issue. And the constant performance/ranking previews were so annoying. Ok, but why is Seunghwan such a good actor? I was scared for his life for a sec that he was getting an evil edit. Not you saying you didn't like Hot Sauce but Junghyun was in Love me right HAHAHAHA More seriously tho why is Zhang Hao so likeable?? He literally created such a nice vibe for the team <3 Hanbin crawling over just to guess Jay Park was adorable aaaah, but Jay was definitely the star of the games. Taerae is my favourite grandpa, he just gives off old man vibes. And his parents seem so sweet too. All the trainees whose parents came seemed so happy and the letters were so lovely. Apparently for Supercharger, Wang Zihao adjusted the choreo for Supercharger while he (and Seo Won) was also preparing to film for the M!Countdown stage. This meant that Seo Won and Zihao practically had 3 days to do all of that, which is hella impressive. All of the members worked so hard, and it really shows in the performance. Haruto was outstanding and deserved all those points! I love love loved Seunghwan in En Garde!! He and Gunwook slayed so hard. And I also really liked Gunwook's little reference to his previous performances (handgun = kill this love and rock/metal sign = tomboy). I definitely think Gunwook should've gotten this one. We all knew the episode would cut off on Hanbin, but that WAS AWFUL.

So three things I wanna tell you about: 1. Wang Zi Hao has a massive fanbase in China. Like you can basically guess most of the votes he's gotten has been Chinese. This is because he's under Yixing's label there (Yixing is Lay from EXO, who is also massively popular there). 2. Very happy that Gunwook got a good amount of screentime this episode. He's genuinely always been just a soft, naive, sweet kid and I feel like his size and first impression scared off a lot of people during the first episode of Boys Planet. I really really REALLY recommend watching Wild Idol, the show him and Kamden and others were in prior to Boy's Planet. Like you'll learn that Gunwook can sing and rap well, like extremely well. I feel like in Boys Planet they've just focused on his dancing (which is amazing don't get me wrong) but Gunwook could genuinely be a main vocal or main rapper in any group he is. Plus that show has a bunch of attractive men doing manly stuff in the middle of the woods while they showcase their talent and like have competitions, you'll love it lol. Lots of guest judges too ranging from 2pm, SNSD, Oh My Girl, etc. 3. Seunghwan's future is heartbreaking. Before the show aired he did an Insta live saying that if it doesn’t work out he’s gonna quit being an idol and go into the military. He was born in 2000 and said he knows he’s not old in a general sense but old in the kpop world. The thing is the man has already gone through and won a survival show and debuted, but his old group was promoted under a company that sucked so they never reached mainstream success and eventually disbanded. Seunghwan has shown through all his content how upbeat and positive he is (he saw how Gunwook was crying after their negative evaluation and tried to cheer him up, alongside the fact he helped Daeul in the beginning, helped Ollie with his Zoom rap, and helped lead the ‘Gang’ performance and rapped when he isn’t even a rapper). He’s known to be a workaholic too, can actually sing (like check out his song covers, Boys Planet has down him dirty when it comes to showing his vocal talent) and he’s crazy handsome and he genuinely cares for his fans. Not just typical kpop fan service, he reads DMs often and he and his brother make gifts for his fans and give them out. I have a feeling deep down he isn’t going to win a spot in the top 9, and it just hurts because it seems he knows it too and seems to be sticking with going into the military after. He alluded to saying his goodbye recently (like literally a day ago) because he visited an ad his fans set up and left a note saying how grateful he was and that everyone should cherish the memories made. To quote him (translated of course) some things he said in the note were: “the journey that I started is ending with receiving a lot more love and support” and “Whatever the result is, the journey so far has been the result of all of us together so don't feel discouraged”. Most idol say stuff like “please give me a lot of love!” and “let’s debut!” while Seunghwan is speaking about his gratitude and trying to comfort his fans. He has so much talent, is passionate, gets along with everybody, is super attractive, and cares for everyone he is around, so the fact we'll likely see him eliminated, hear a sad goodbye speech, and likely will never see him sing or dance again is heart breaking. He deserves so much more and I hate that being 23 is considered old in Kpop (aka most companies only let people born 2003/2004 or younger audition nowadays).

B..

This is not Boys Best Friend Planet!

the SuperCharger performance was my fave😊THEY SLAYED, I think the EnGarde team had the best performers but I enjoyed SuperCharger more overall:)) The moment with their parents was wholesome and cute, I'm happy they got to meet them💖

want to comment that a) im so glad wang zi hao has a strong chinese fanbase -- he's one of my fave g-group trainees and i hope he makes it all the way tbh !!! his dancing is so attractive and he always shines for me, i wish we could see more of his personality (his happiness to see his dance teacher was so cute!) and b) i totally see and appreciate the switch in narrative for gun wook, how they started this show making him seem greedy (?) or cocky but turns out he's a big softie :') but still on-stage he's a real beast, he deserved first to me in this round, like johan said...glad he's in top 9 right now!
