TXT FIRST LISTEN – The Dream Chapter: STAR ⭐ 1st Mini Album (Patreon)

I can already tell this is probably going to be one of my favourite albums in k-pop ever. After I filmed my reaction to the MVs, I filmed this first listen right after and then I went for a looooong walk just listening to CROWN on repeat trying to figure out my emotions lol.
CROWN sounds like a happy song and while it made me feel happy, it also made me emotional and nostalgic for some reason. I also suspect the emotions I got from watching Nap of a Star contributed to that as well.

Nap of a Star really is a masterpiece (both mv and song) and I connect and relate to it on a very personal level. It reminds me of my childhood hence the nostalgic feeling I get. The only other time I've gotten a glimpse of that feeling is from YooA's Bon Voyage even though the songs are different, the feeling I'm reminded of is similar.

Anyway enough about me 🌝 I'm just emotional today but I think I'm allowed to be. I love every song on the album and I'm so excited to listen to it over and over again! Pls link good live stages for all the songs in the comments!

youtube! when the false copyright claim is gone the video will no longer be blocked and i can set it to public. it's already uploaded and ready to be made public whenever "WOWOW INC." removes their false claim which i have no idea how long it will take, but it will disappear on its own if they dont respond in 30 days

aaah I love that you've found the time to indulge in these masterpieces! I think txt is always such an unexpected surprise for people (or a bus from the left as the Dutch saying goes:)) - their innocent melodies but oddly (in the best way) gutwrenching, melancholic lyrics here.. I hope you enjoyed your forest walk!!:))

So with Crown there are 2 meanings to the concept behind it. TXT said the “crown” represents growing pains [this goes along with their lore perfectly; since it revolves around growing up, friendships, heartbreak, trust, and betrayals]. Yeonjun is the one with the crown aka the horns/antlers, Soobin with elf ears, Beomgyu with spikes out of his shoulder, Taehyun with a star in his eye, and Hueningkai with his angel wings. The other meaning is “my “crown” makes me who I am” and I should embrace and love who i am with all my flaws. This album very much revolves around the boys friendships with one another. They boys start having writing credits starting in the next album so I’m really excited to see your reaction to those songs. I’m glad you’re relating and enjoying their music so far!

txt has so many gems in their discography, it's so bizarre. Cat owners are called butlers to their cats. So they're saying they turn from a cool cat playing push and pull into a dog who wants lots of love and attention from their partner.

zaty farhani's subtitles are really bad ghfdjg not that jaeguchi is much better or anything. Finding good lyric videos is always hard. but usually the best way is to look for one that was released a few days after the album release instead of the ones released on the day of

their storyline involves magic. the next comeback runaway is a reference to harry potter. their mnet intro performance has more elements to that. i like the metaphor for the horns growing on their heads it kinda symbolize how teenagers can feel like outcasts once we reach a certain age but txt were able to find each other and embrace that side of themselves. their storyline has themes like friendship, betrayal but also the hardships of growing up while having each other as well. it’s very extensive and complicated because of the magical elements but it’s really interesting.
