The smallest nuclear submarine ever built is our next entry in the Sub Brief lecture series. The French Rubis SSN. She adopted the design of the Agosta SSK submarine and substituted a very small nuclear reactor as the power source.  This has a very interesting construction history with some surprising performances.

We well cover the pros and many cons of this Cold War era design.

Awesome subject matter! I've always wanted to know more about this class of boats. So compact, as you said. You just don't hear much about them anymore, fortunately. I do remember hearing about a possible deal between with our Canadian brethren and the Frenchy's. -CV
