I have been asked by fellow Patreons to post links to my YouTube videos here on Patreon so no one misses one.

Pro: You will see more updates on Patreon and be notified of every YouTube video post.

Con: Patreon will update more regularly and push Sub Brief content down the webpage between Sub Brief posts.

Workaround: I will 'pin' the most recent Sub Brief at the top of the Patreon web page so you will always see it first.  I will make this change based on a simple majority vote.

I subscribed to your YouTube channel, which keeps me updated.

So long as Patrons are subscribed to YT and turn on notifications they shouldn't miss any. Making it hard to find the sub brief content would be annoying

I am against adding separate posts. When a video is uploaded, I see it in my subscriptions. I do not use Youtube notifications. You post a lot in Patreon as it is, and I feel that adding more would amount to clutter. I say include them in the existing posts, not add more which would tend to bury things further. In any case, I enjoy your work Jive. It's the best submarine content out there.

I'm personally good with either. I'm going to watch both but as mentioned above I have 0 faith in YT notifications.

I vote to keep the two as separate as possible. I appreciate that videos on Patreon make it to youtube on occasion, but I'd rather stick to one or the other. E.g., Youtube for Cold Waters streams and other games and Patreon for those that are interested in submarines and the history of underwater warfare. I think there is a clear distinction there which should be used.

As much as I hate yt, I am pretty dug into it. Not a fan of patreon either to really be honest. I fully respect either decision! Though I do prefer the yt content staying were it is.

Maybe just a singe link on the Patreon page to an index of UTube's? On the Patreon page maybe, to make it easy to jump back and forth. Updates in that folder might not be able to trigger the notification process.

I upgraded my Patreon contribution After you moved, to help you continue creating valuable content. I would hope that posting on YT would continue a growing exposure as you once enjoyed while you were doing live streams. Archiving your sub briefs are difficult via Patreon/Vimeo, whereas archiving from YT is easy. I say YES, because I think it would ultimately increase your viewer base, and increase your Patreon subscribers. We want you to continue to be successful at this Aaron, as do you. As to YT notifications, I follow about 30 YT content providers, and have Zero notifications, so no "clutter" problems here. For sure, continue to give notifications to us Patreon subscribers.

You should have links in all six places... Six you ask, yes, Youtube, patreon, you website, twitter, facebook, and whatever social media you might have. The whole ideas is for maximum people to see it isn't it. No oblivious the patreon only videos will only play if they are supporter. I am a patreon supporter oblivious, but I find out about your videos sometimes by accident on YouTube because I only look here once a week or so,

Question: would you reupload the Youtube videos to Vimeo so that they're higher quality and *then* post them on Patreon, or would this just be a link to Youtube? Because if the videos were uploaded to Vimeo, that's a higher quality experience and that might be worth it to some users.

subbrief

good idea. I just updated all my social media links and they are on every YouTube video description.

Roger that, thanks. In that case, I think that there's no benefit, since we all came to this Patreon from your Youtube channel. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't make daily trips to Patreon unless I receive a notification whereas I hit Youtube daily to see what's going on.

We have own version of youtube that we are developing if you need a place to store videos. https://yourvideos24.com/ . We would be happy to store your videos without limits if you need it or for backup. We also have extensive hosting facilities also if you need it.

I've got everything set up the way I like it. Thank you for the offer.

I thought this question was funny since it was YouTube and your submarine simulator games that brought me here.
