Unfortunately I post this with a heavy heart as yesterday I had yet another incident of one of my Photoshop Files getting corrupted (third time this year). And before someone mentions about back ups or restore options I would like to point out that I tried those options and the "file" was dead all over the place. Even in Adobe's Paid Cloud Service provided by the monthly subscription.............temp files and 2 different saved locations........I do not know why this happens. All I know is that the specific psd file contained at least 20 different doodles and 1 paid commission that I wanted to finish and post with time.

The first time this happened it was a peculiar case and I "excused it" even though I lost Commission work from it. During the process of saving which includes the manual saves, auto saves by PS (configured) and the Adobe Cloud saves (Synchronizing), I had a power outage....which somehow concluded on the files getting utterly corrupted on every corner, even in the windows .temp files........It was a very peculiar and specific incident. The power outage happened during the Cloud synchronization process so I think this might have been the reason for the Cloud file to have been corrupted.

Second time the file just got corrupted (I do not know why) but it was ok since I had barely worked for 1 hour on it.

This time.....Doodles from the past 3 month that I was making to eventually post were all gone. I do not know what happened this time. I saved everything just fine even in the Cloud and went to eat. Came back and the file would not open. After examining the properties the file was using 48 MB of empty space.................The file was 1.2 GB before...........Even the file in the Cloud service was also.....dead.........temp files also dead.........

Anyway it was a bad day yesterday....I went out to walk because I was ready to kill someone...was walking for 2 hours, came back started experimenting on making a brush for the Shintani anime style of Line Art and the picture posted was the result with the brush I made....

Hope you at least enjoy it.

This is why I never trusted Adobe's cloud service. There's no real guarantee that your files are always safe when it only works on a sub system> Also, as tedious as is, always have a spare backup clone outside the cloud.

Hope the rest of the month goes better
