Early this year, I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD, and it explained a lot about patterns in my behavior and the reasons why, for a long, long time, I haven't been able to function the way I want to. The ADHD makes it hard for me to begin and finish things and as the audios I make have become more complex, I've been lagging behind, never being able to finish when I want to. Months ago, I told myself I would put in the work to get myself medicated, and I still haven't.

I just want to be open about what I've been going through. In all honestly, I'm a bit scared of what side effects I might get if I start taking medication, but enough is enough. I need to at least try if it'll help me get more done, not just in terms of making these audios for you, but also in my daily life. I apologize for the constant delays in production. There probably will be many more, but I'm going to start setting more realistic deadlines for myself, at least until I can get my symptoms under control.

Thanks for understanding and, as always, I appreciate you supporting me and my silly hobby. If you suspect that you have ADHD, then I encourage you to also get tested and diagnosed, especially if you're also a woman whose symptoms may have gone unnoticed for years.

That's all, peace! ^w^✌︎︎

Please don’t beat yourself up! My fiancée also had diagnosed ADHD as an adult, and they suffer from a lot of the same issues. They take Concerta on and off to help alleviate symptoms on days that they need to do creative work, and while of course medications, dosages, and side effects will differ from person to person, they’ve found it’s been a big help

Hope you're able to get the help you need!

ADHD is a bitch. I won't say it ruined my life but it defenitely made it much more of a struggle that seems just so unnecessary... I think the meds, though, are fairly tame as it's just stimulants rather than stuff like antipsychotics, antidepressants which fuck way more with brain chemistry. Most probably you'll have an easy time with them, my friends or acquaintances with ADHD as well as me have found the meds really helpful without much of a negative side save for sometimes forgetting to eat. Anyway, I'm rambling. I hope you find meds helpful, plus thankfully ADHD awareness lately I think paves a bit of the way too.
