God-kin are descendants of the "6 Great Gods" that the Slaine Theocracy worships. The following is kind of SPOLERY but it's simply the anime never making things properly clear that should have been revealed by now. . . . . The 6 Great Gods were 6 players that came to the New World 6 centuries ago. When they are talking about the "descent of a god" they are talking about players entering this world. There seems to periodically be things from Yggdrasil sent to the New World, 500 Years ago there were the 8 Greed Kings who were also players. After them there were the Evil Deities/Demon Gods that are suspected to be at least NPC's or Monsters form Yggdrasil. 200 Years ago the leader of the 13 Heroes was also a Player.
