Hope you had a great time hearing us discuss Mission Hill in our fifth miniseries to date! We've covered all the 13 produced episodes, so it's only fair that we move on to the five fully written episodes that never saw full animation. Listen in as we discuss what could have been for Mission Hill if its original broadcast extended into the year 2000, and just how much the show grew in half a dozen more episodes. Thanks so much for supporting us during these difficult months, and we'll see you sooner than you know it for the fall 2020 miniseries!

This was a fantastic mini-series! When I was a kid I had seen Mission Hill on Adult Swim whenever I was channel surfing but I never watched an episode because I thought the colors were strange. But now as an adult I'm glad your mini-series got me watching the entire series of Mission Hill and fully appreciating what we had at the time. Also awesome timing with this podcast and the announcement of a Mission Hill sequel. Everything is coming up Milhouse!

I was always curious about Crap Gets In Your Eyes' table read animatic too. You guys' and Gary Chadwick's explanation seem pretty likely though I have a theory. IIRC Bill and Josh wanted to include these animatics on the DVD originally. It may be possible one or more of the voice actors hadn't been recorded in the booth yet when the show was cancelled, but were in attendance for the table read. For this animatic feature they could have possibly thought splicing booth recorded dialogue into the table read recording would be less jarring than vice versa. Haha like maybe they had scratch dialogue with Bill or someone severely different recording for Gwen who needed to be scheduled and they didn't randomly want to make it sound like Jane Wiedlin was recording in a cavernous room with people laughing. You guys brought up Lisa Kushell voicing Posey instead of Vicky Lewis in this table read. For some reason, I never noticed it! Not a bad impression But yeah, this animatic was absolutely retimed to accommodate the stage direction read-off and laughter. No way they were gonna try to make a 35-minute episode and try to cut it down to 23. Hell, if you cut out the direction, the episode probably timed to 25 or so, with only a couple cuts needed. Also, you can ABSOLUTELY still get Fig Newtons! I just bought a package of them the other day! Basically the only differences I've seen with them since I was a kid are the larger variety of flavors, the inclusion of whole wheat variants, and those resealable peel-able lids Nabisco products do now. I have no idea what you guys are talking about with Fig Newtons sweating, they may have improved them since then. Regarding Bugles, you can still find them at 7-11s and at least in my area, there's about half a dozen flavors available at most grocery stores. I have never in my life seen them packaged in a box though, always in bags. Thanks again for doing such fantastic coverage of such a wonderful series. "Gus and Wally" will be awesome if it gets to happen!
