Hi all,

Coming out of a covid rest to address what’s happening in the community.

Unsure if all of you are privvy to what is happening in The Sims community at the moment with regard to a handful of content creators sharing personal information of their patrons amongst each other to track people, but I would just like to underline that I never have and never will share any of your information and that it is safe with me. I respect and value all of you far too much to put your personal information at jeopardy, but also 1. I do not have the time or capacity to track down who’s doing what with early release content and 2. doxxing is illegal. As a public figure it would be so, so stupid of me to be involved in anything like that.

There are a few things you can do to protect yourselves from the very small percentage of creators who (thankfully) are being called out for their involvement in this mess. Firstly, change your profile picture if it is of yourself. Secondly, consider making a separate email if your current email has your full name in it. Thirdly, change your username from your full name. Those are the only three pieces of sensitive information I have access to on Patreon as a creator, as should the others.

I’m so sorry to anyone who’s been a victim of the actions of these people and had your information shared. These small handful of creators are not a reflection of the many creators who you have supported, who genuinely respect you and value your support completely.

Please look after yourselves, and be mindful if you are supporting creators who send out content via DMs. They are more capable of tracking content this way.
