Been a while since I did one of these...

This is installation #3 of the Monthly Q&A series! Here’s your chance to ask questions about the story, or to give any feedback you might have. Questions patrons have asked before include "Is there a pinnacle law at the top of the law pyramid?" or "does Zane eventually get some kind of spirit beast pet?" or "How many chapters do you think this book will take?"

I'll come back to this post tomorrow and answer as best I can without spoilers.

OH, I got two. First, are you only allowed one fusion law, or are people capable of cultivating multiple at a time? Second, what is the deal with the lack of a Light-attributed Faction? We've heard of ones for Water, Earth, Fire, Lightning, Wood, Metal, and I think Wind, but none for Light. I assumed there is one, but I find it odd we haven't heard of it yet, given Evan is Earth's preeminent Light wielder. Hell, we know who's scouting Avery, but not Evan.

Was there a reason Zane didn't attempt to eat the chain that had the treasure on it? I would of thought that it would have been a good quality metal to have been used in that well and at those temperatures and laws that deep

I think I can answer that, at least in part. We know there *is* a hierarchy, due to the fact that Stormfire is rated the best offensive Fusion Law, and that Wood is the best Law for healing. We can thus assume there are a number of rankings, based on the criteria such as Offense, Defense, Support, Control, Healing, Movement, and so on, each with different top-dogs. Possibly two lists of each, one for Fusion Laws and the other for Elemental Laws. From what we know, there's the following: Stormfire: #1 Offense Fusion. Steel: #1 Defense Elemental. Wood: #1 Healing Elemental. Light/Dark: Tied #1 Movement Elemental, with high Offense, Support, and Control rankings as well. Earth: #2 Defense Elemental, possible high Support or Control ranking. Lightning: #2 Movement Elemental, possible #1 Offense Elemental How about it, Astra, did I about cover it? I'm mostly inferring from what we've been told.

I think this was already answered im not sure but how will the world building/kigndom building go after the trial? I mean it in the way of will some factions go to war over land or everyone stay in their own territories. Or will Zane become Earths Ruler?

What are the other Nine Factions called? I feel like we only know 6 or 7: There's the World Tree, Azure Flame, Mount Thunderclast, Steel Conclave, Thousand Seas, Deep Earth Hall, and Eternal Winter. That's 7 so far. Did I miss the others or is it left intentionally mysterious? I can understand wanting to leave it open so you have flexibility when writing, I'm just curious :)

What's the different life spans on the grades? We know some people live for 10 thousand plus years but when does that sort of lifespan kick in

I have a question and an idea and a hope. The question is, why does Zane's chain mastery skill never rise? Connected to that is what would it become as it evolved? The idea is, condensing skill up messages, if that reduces word count for a chapter I'm okay with it. So instead of the 1->2 2->3 etc. just 1... ->5, or something like that. My hope is Barbarian Sage giving Zane a baby Titan Rhino. And then just finally understanding where Evan was coming from with Reginald the Superbara.

Well, at Azure Flame, they've got 10k sky essence stones reserved to recruit Zane, and the number two on that list, a half-giant, is 1,300 sky essence stones. So even if Zane's party member are in the top 10 of every faction, they're still way behind.

First a comment. I appreciate the pace of the story. I find it massively annoying when authors in a serial take a week to drone on a concept or breakthrough and just as annoying for a 5 chapter fight. So kudos. For my question, how are local factions rolled into the greater factions of the universe. I can’t see Reina walking away from Luminous Faction and therefore neither will Zane.

Excited to see what the next weapon evolution will be. The Minotaur made it seem like 250 would be the next one. What kind of choices have you been thinking of giving Zane? Though if it’s too spoiler I get it. If not the options could you expand on what the fifth soul weapon evolution entails or just how soul weapons fit into one’s cultivation?

I believe this was answered in the chapters of the minotaur boss fight. The minotaur used an upgraded spirit weapon. A follow up question I have for this, is this something done usually by the individual or is there a specialized soul crafting profession that does this as well? It seems like something Zane might be good at with his soul + fire laws + steel laws.

Doing it on a scale to a 100 might be hard to quantify. Most cultivation novels usually do tiers of geniuses by time/eras. So Zane's party and a lot of other Ur-world talents might only come around every 1,000 years, 5,000, or 10,000. Someone like Zane might only be born every 100,000.

I have 3 questions. When will we get POVs from other gates? Will Zane and group meet up with Eze or others? Will we ever see the origin of the System?

Zane’s Mephisto skill is an OP-cheat skill; Was it intended for him to acquire it, so as to pacify his aggression tendencies?

Makes sense! After asking I was thinking that would be kind of ridiculous to have him consume it when the point is for the treasure at the bottom. Keep doing what you are doing! This is my favorite story I'm following, love the direction and way you have it progressing. Can't wait to see the first encounter from the various recruiters when they talk to Zane (read as Reina lol) to talk about contracts

Not totally decided on choices, but they would have to fit Zane's fighting style Soul Weapons channel your powers and evolve with your Class + Law Path! As you evolve past Level 250 you'll have chances to add certain gems to power up your soul weapon--the first example is the soul weapon core, which the Minotaur had

Thank you. At that point will he warp the very air on earth by his presence alone like that Elf that killed the titan rhino to make the string on the bow and could he potentially shatter the planet because he's extremely powerful? I want to see him hit a point where his stare alone could destroy a planet.

I'm calling it, Zane will take over the role of the "System" manager once he hits level 1000 and will be back to moving boxes but across the universe riding a Colossus Titaneous God Rhino. As a side hustle, he will occasionally stop by few planets every so often to ensure everything is in balance. Just entering the periphery of the solar system all planets will tremble and Zane will send his copy (thanks Avery) to casually checkout events on Earth.

Thank you nice to get some reference for what constitutes outer faction. That’s crazy though C rank planets have to be similar to the one that he saw in the Rhino vision. Insane those are the Outer factions. Really like the direction your world building is taking.

Can we get a complete Character Sheet with all his skills? And I think his other skills still level up, even if we don't get System Messages. I assume you only write out those that evolve in Tier. P.S. Can his Older Skills Fuse to reach higher Rarity? Like all his Combat Passives to something like "Savage Fighting"?

Yes but they can't compare to his current skills I have a Skill sheet on my end I update every batch of chapters but it's only ballpark accuracy unfortunately and likely missing stuff, would have to comb through the chapters and tally them to get actual estimates
