Hi! Having watched the episode I guess you came to the conclusion that maybe you were overthinking a bit. S-class encountered no monsters, because of chance, as A-class did encounter monsters by chance. I don't think anybody plotted anything except the thieves and the phantom within the cave. The S-class probably arrived earlier because of the RV and the beast gnome pulling it. And because they were early, and their rooms weren't ready they were sent to check out the caves. This set of OVA's were written after this part of the main story, so the main story doesn't act on the events of the OVA's. As for sensei and senpai, last ep. I explained these terms, it is not gendered at all.
