Movie Run Time: 2:43:59

You will need your own copy of the movie to watch along! 😁

I'm not used to this. How do you do it? How do you wait for a movie that's not out yet? How do you not think about it all the time? How? Help

Dawn, Thank you for another surprise theme week. The extra effort exerted to crank out a reaction every day is much appreciated, even if you didn't think they were all worthy of BME.

Well Dawn, a year to wait for the ending! It was fun watching with you. I think you'd enjoy Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow - sci-fi action based on a Japanese novel, or Minority Report - a future mystery thriller.

And there you have it, folks. Dawn has made the choice to accept.

Please diversify your range of Tom Cruises films and performances. Even after all this, you’ve seen him play a total of three characters. “Legend” (1985) theatrical cut “Born on the Fourth of July” (1989) “Interview With the Vampire” (1994) “Magnolia” (2000)

"How do you wait for a movie that's not out yet?" Dawn... I think that's the root of your own dilemma regarding this franchise. You went in already knowing that there were 7 or 8 movies... so you kept looking for some kind of twist at the end of each one because you knew it would be resolved in the next one. And you were disappointed when they DIDN'T leave an open ending. You should watch each movie as if it's a one-and-done. (I seem to recall that before, you didn't like inconclusive endings 😉) I know sometimes film makers plan sequels (this chapter being one), but they don't always happen. Even after the first film, we didn't know for sure there would be a sequel. And after the fourth movie (Ghost Protocol) we thought for sure it was over. There was a 4 year gap before Cruise came back with a new partner/director.
