Chris, if you could have a conversation with any famous Chinese person from any era in China before the rise of Mao, who would it be?

Could well be...but often I think of the after-Xi, who will that be? And what will he want? Add to that an unstable stable of generals committing suicide. Does that make the remaining generals more or less unstable and will some nut go for the nuclear codes? One fault guaranteed by the Chinese is that of their fire drill classic....and I think that it could very well have been the CIA who offed Feng Yanghe. Certainly a worth while task. And aided by dissident Chinese who want change. It they can't have guns themselves, they will bite the hand that feeds them.
