Since I'm late, some one had the good idea of teasing a bit about what's next. We know about gamer girl, that the buttons will still suck, and that the reveal scene involves a restaurant. So I thought I'd spoil a bit of the first third of the reveal and a bit of the "why" behind it all. 

The first part of this reveal scene starts as always, a "date night" where we see Danielle at the new size. The schtick is for this one, its the big one, at least in my mind. This is where the story starts proper. Or at least the fun. 

Anyway, the first part of the reveal is Danielle coming over to check if you're ready. She's starts off with a jean jacket over her red dress and her hair up. Based on your prior choices and how your conversation goes here, the date will continue or your relationship could possibly end (and the game.)

 I've tried to make the negative choices as obvious as possible with lines like "You're relationship feels on the ropes." or "If you don't do better, you may lose her."  Things like that. 

Basically, if you have been saying the wrong things, this conversation at the beginning, will give you the chance to get back on the right path. If you've been on the "right" path, the date will continue regardless, as she'll take your comments as good natured ribbing.  

If you see her, walking out, middle finger up...then you'll be seeing GAME OVER soon thereafter. (First Image)

But if you see her sashay away with a come hither wave, you may be on the right track for a fun evening. (Second Image)

The reason I'm doing this is twofold:

Practical: I want to prune some dialogue trees. Right now there are three dialogue trees and three kind of "stories" to keep in mind, as time goes on and they diverge more and more, it becomes harder to hold the threads together. It takes longer to write and code. So by introducing this, it will get everyone on the same path.  Future choices will still have impacts, and dialogue changes, but if all goes well, we'll have no more of the "lamenting the gain" dialogue. This will also streamline production.

Story: The story is moving in a direction where the main crux of the conflict isn't how you feel about the gain, at least not anymore. It makes sense to get everyone on this path, because you can't play a game about a girlfriend gaining if there is no girlfriend. And no real life person would stick around with someone who is nagging them or pestering them about it, especially if they have asked that person to stop. The story I have planned requires a happy girlfriend and one that is happy with her gain. This allows for the possibility of antagonists (Rachel for example). There will be others, I have stories planned for Kimmy, Rachel, and Cindy. The Ex (both hers and yours) will most definitely pop back up, and we may have a "meet the parents" date in the future. 

I guess to sum up, this is the end of what we may call an episode one. But there is a lot, lot more coming.
