Our System - 5 - Mars (Patreon)

The fourth planet in the Solar System. Named after the Roman god of war, this blood red planet holds great interest to humanity. Due to the near proximity to Earth and relatively hospitable conditions, Mars has been extensively studied with probes and rovers missions with the aim of eventually sending manned missions. With a diameter only about half that of Earth’s, Mars is the second smallest planet behind Mercury. Somehow I always thought it was bigger than that.
