Content

Hi everybody! I mentioned revising my content at the beginning of last month, and the changes are in. I've decided to suspend Pixelcast and Pixelminis until I receive more support. It's hard for me to pull back content, but I need to make myself available for more freelance work until Patreon can provide more income. Also, I need the time if I'm ever going to finish Thyrian Defenders. I've set up new reward goals you should be able to see in the rewards cell. Pixelcast will return at 75 patrons and Pixelminis will return at 100 patrons. July has been a good month so far and I'm confident we can reach those goals before long.

The schedule looks a little lonely now, but rest assured the value is maintained with my most popular content. All three tiers still exist and have meaning as well. All in all it shouldn't feel too different around here. I've basically removed filler content and I can focus on making even better tutorials and quality art. With a more flexible schedule I will also be able to occasionally post spontaneous unscheduled content. This is really important to me, as my best work often comes out when I can freely work on a moments inspiration. Expect at least one random artwork to appear each month. Of course, all patrons will have at least one week early access before I share anywhere else.

Pixelcast is especially hard for me to put down for a while, but the return goal is not far off. Also, the time away will let me think about how to improve the series and relaunch with a fresh coat of paint. Or, I might possibly conceive some totally new video content. I would love to make some animated shorts, or music videos. Anything is possible with your support!

Anyway, you have a lot of exciting stuff to look forward to right now. The Game Mock-Up idea won the poll for the next Pixelweeklies series. I have a feeling this is going to be a popular series and will be especially valuable to those interested in making pixel art specifically for games. I will share my experience and any quality assets that result from my mock-ups, such as sprites and tiles. Where to start first? I've always wanted to make a Mega Man clone.

For Pixelblog 8 I decided it's time to introduce animation. Can't wait to start sharing my animation techniques with you!

As always I would like to thank my patrons for your continued support. Really, you're the best!
