Preflight

Exploring more aircraft designs, but this time our bird and pilot are peacefully parked on the ramp. I challenged myself to create subtle, yet meaningful animations. Turns out, making slower animation is actually more difficult than the hyperactive flashy stuff where you can just hide the messy frames with speed. The slightly foreshortened figure was a bit tricky to apply motion to, but I think his actions are all clear with the subtle expression I was going for. The relaxed scenery with the various rhythms in the electric charging animation combine to express a calm moment before something great. Get inspired and let your dreams take flight!
