I agree that it would be nice to have some of the characters around longer! But if it’s helpful to know that usually if a character comes back that hasn’t been shown for awhile, they’ll do a “previously on” type of deal to remind you!

I feel like this is one instance where appeasing the comic book fans ends up making no sense, similar to what they do with a future character a couple seasons later. If they want Perry to meet a young Clark, fine whatever, but this particular storyline makes it quite harder to pull off the double identity at the newspaper especially since he's not wearing glasses.
