Yeah, the CGI is very bad, but, as you mentioned, you get used to it very quick. I won't say anymore because it's hard to talk about this show without spoilers.

oh wow! had no clue you were reacting to primeval. such an underrated show and a key part of my childhood. the show gets so good so stick with it!

Didn´t know this version of Primeval. Apparently this is an earlier version from the one I watched. Which is with Sara Canning (Aunt Jenna, from The Vampire Diaries).
