Carlos is in next episode. In season 4, he is absent in three episodes instead of 4. I really like Owen's arc in this episode. He could see himself in Al and seeing how Al acted made him reflect on his own actions. Owen's arc in this last part of season 3 is really great. Similarly with Tommy, I'm glad this episode went into some of the messy side of her grief. I love me a Gina Torres monologue.

A sunshine child, to my knowledge, is a baby before or after another baby is lost.

yesss I love you for doing a LS this week! I was waiting for you to meet Uncle Julius - he is 🥵🥵 Can't say I really blame Tommy in that moment! Every time there's a cop in a scene and it isn't Carlos I'm like whyyyyyy tho I think Rafa must be contracted for a certain number of episodes each season cause there's typically 3-4 he isn't in 😡 Next one is fun though...except...maybe not for you...😬🥴🤐 (you'll know what I mean when you see the title 😜)

I had a feeling you would like Uncle Julius ;) We all channel grief in different ways. In Julius, it caused him to freeze and miss his brother's funeral. But, he's trying now. That guy they focused on in this episode, well, anger can be a good thing, but, when it causes you to lose sight of things, you can lose everything, which it looks like he has, now. That's sad since he was literally on his way to his first therapy session, but he should have made a change sooner. I'm glad that this situation allowed Owen to have some introspection and help him get back to therapy. I agree with everyone else. Why y'all gotta leave my man Carlos out of the episode? I get that he's contracted for a certain amount of episodes, but the episodes don't feel complete when he isn't there (agent, get this man a full slate of episodes for season 5)

Sad fact: The kid playing Brain, Tyler Sanders, died at age 18 from an overdose about a year ago, just a few months after the episode aired. It was his final role.
