The actor who plays Mickey did a great job here! And he's right, Rose straight up left his ass (multiple times) and didn't really show any regrets (I guess she did a little bit the first couple times). It took me a while to start liking Rose honestly, mostly because of the way she treated Mickey. I do have to constantly tell myself that she's only 19, so I cut her a little slack because of her youth and inexperience. She did grow on me, though ;)

I really enjoy this episode, a funny little filler before the drama of the final two episodes of the season. I love that The Doctor and Rose finally start to notice the "bad wolf" words following them around. You'll see what that means very soon. And I do feel bad for Mickey, he's such a good guy. But Rose fell head over heels for The Doctor and she tries with Mickey but she just doesn't love him as much as she loves The Doctor. She definitely could've handled the situation better instead of constantly stringing Mickey along but I do see why it's hard for Rose as well. Because The Doctor is a 900 year old alien who's not exactly open with his feelings, at least not yet, so Rose is like "yeah I love The Doctor but he can't possibly love me back so Mickey is a good backup option." He shouldn't be but, like Ilsuk says, Rose is so young and she does learn from this. And I'm so glad you love Captain Jack lol, he really is handsome. And he's such a fantastic character. A real fan favourite. Bring on the season finale and then the Christmas special which you'll LOVE! 😊

I love this episode. Not going to lie, when I first saw it was another Slitheen episode, internally I wrote it off, but by the end I really did enjoy it. It has some great slapstick comedy moments, but I think the most important part of the episode is getting a bit more character development, between all the cast. Excited to see the next couple of episodes as we close out the season. To tie into what Siobhan mentioned, the Christmas specials (as well as other specials down the line) are integral to the story. They aren't like most shows where they steer clear of ongoing plot (like the Guardians of the Galaxy christmas special). These are fully developed stories that often tie into either the previous season, or upcoming season. Even the specials that are mostly standalone will have at least one element that ties them to a future or past story. If you are watching on HBO Max then you are good because it lists all the episodes in order. If you are using another means, then we can keep you on track with which episodes to watch between seasons.

I agree 100 percent. I felt mickeys pain and felt rose really did him wrong. I do still like her but I'm glad he expressed it to her

I agree that Blon should be punished, but a slow boil in acid until you become soup might be too much.

Since you express a fondness for Jack, you might be interested in his spin-off series, "Torchwood". It makes the heart grow fonder. 😉

You have to remember Travis, the doctor is about life...remember the chance to live he gave to that plastic presence thingy. Hos very title denotes healing... He's not a fan of capital punishment or genocide. If There's a chance to rehab somebody he'll take it. And it could be argued that Blom will become a different person..er whatever she is

I think one good thing that "Margaret" did was to not kill that young woman reporter who was pregnant. I think if the writers had chosen for her to kill that mother-to-be, she would have been unquestionably irredeemable, no matter what code the Doctor may have about life.
