Fun fact: The actress who plays Callie (Sara Ramirez) was in the Broadway show Spamalot back in 2005 and won a Tony for her role as The Lady of the Lake. Shonda Rhimes (who writes Grey's Anatomy) was at the show and saw her perform, and wrote the character of Callie Torres for her.

Oh man... this episode is SO hard for me to watch. Most of it is awesome (let's face it, Addison with poison oak was hilarious, poor woman), but seeing the trainwreck that was Meredith and George is SO painful. And does she learn anything from it? NO. She goes to meet up with McDreamy on the trail, like the idiot she is. He's married. It's too complicated. You cannot be friends. I love Meredith but sometimes I want to smack her upside the head.

I don't feel bad for George one bit and everyone saying Meredith is in the wrong really upsets me. Meredith was drunk and George decided to sleep with her anyway. He tried to confess his feelings to her earlier and she completely ignored him, that should have been an another indication to not sleep with her yet he did it anyway. They were both in the wrong but George saw something wrong with Meredith and decided to think with his peewee instead.

I completely agree! Not only was she drunk, but also extremely upset about seeing her father who abandoned for the first time in 20 years!!! George was not a good friend to her in that moment and that’s what she needed.

I like this episode for the intro of Callie like everyone else, but I hate the victim mentality that George allows himself to fall into.

Her name is Callie (Calliope IphegeniaTorres) and she is hot. I love that she is hot and she is not a size 2 model type. I'm not gay but I might make an exception lol. She is one of my very favorite characters on the show. Right up there with a Derek and Mark, gotta love the eye candy!

She needs to get her head out of the clouds thinking she’s gonna find a partner at her age without any kind of obstacles to overcome. She does not respect the sanctity of exchanging vows, and I think she was just looking for a wedding, not a marriage.

I love Callie but in her first seasons I couldn't stand her. I feel that Mer and Derek clearly couldn't be friends but I can't blame them for wanting to be close to each other. Many do not understand that Derek is a very rational person, who always tries to do the right thing even if this does not coincide with his feelings. They blame him a lot for trying to make things work with Addie, a person who cheated on him and with whom he forged an eleven-year-old bond. It's not an easy decision, there are even people who live their whole lives with someone they don't love out of habit. Merder has my heart and I think the chemistry that Ellen and Patrick have is unmatched.
