Fun facts about the Perfect Harmony scene: the actors who play Julie and Luke actually wrote the song together in secret, and when they performed it for Kenny Ortega (the show runner) he decided to use it for this scene. The scene itself (the styling and chorography) is an homage to Dirty Dancing, which Kenny worked on as the choreographer. So Luke's hair is reminiscent of Patrick Swayze.

I love this show so much. Stopped everything as soon as I noticed you had posted. When this came out in 2020 I was off work after having a bit of a mental breakdown and 2 shows got me through it! This one and Supernatural! I am still pissed at Netflix for not renewing it. Kenny Ortega and the cast had been writing new songs and rehearsing over zoom. Fans paid for billboards around the world pleading with Netflix and petitions and streaming party's we're organised. All which Netflix ignored. 2 more episodes to go and I hope you react to the behind the scenes too. X

I’ve heard that it actually costs them way more money to have many seasons of shows rather than pumping out more shows with just one or two seasons.

I think this show was a victim of covid. I really believe they planned a season 2 but it would have been filmed at the height of the pandemic. A show like this has a lot of extra staff, dancers, musicians, vocal coaches, music producers, instrument techs and I think it was just too hard to coordinate it all.
