I see your jacket. 3 words. GO BIG BLUE

It really is amazing how what happened in their world can mirror what's happening to them in our world, and yet, sometimes what happens to them in our world is the complete opposite to what happened to them in their world. August is an interesting one. You'll have to wait to see what happens with him. So, Frederick is actually the guy who ran into Mary Margaret at the school and I'm glad you recognized him at the end of the episode. This show always has some more twists and turns up its sleeve so be on the look out for those! And yes, Regina is so hot, lol

I am glad you are finally getting on the David is hot train, but did you really have to do it THIS EPISODE??? The episode where he fucks up royally haha :P Fun Aussie saying you reminded me of, with the water scene. "Cheers big ears" and then you reply, "Same goes big nose." The book turning up isn't random, it was August giving it back. But it was also supposed to be Emma thinking the Wishing Well Waters brought it back to her... so obviously August is trying to get her to believe in the magic of the book... but why? I love that you have so many guesses as to who August is. I had not thought to guess that August could have been Fredrick. It will be fun to find out who he is when that is eventually revealed! :)

I meant it was a random choice in delivering it than it being random it showed up. Also thought that much standing water in the middle of the street was strange too 😂

This is a fair point. Like it isn't the best storyboarding they have ever done in this show, but considering all the other hard work they have done, I guess I give them a little slack for some small lazy slip-ups here and there.

What Happened to Frederick?- Thank you for another fun reaction, Travis!! I really enjoy this episode a lot! And I really enjoyed watching your reaction for it too!! First... The backstory in this episode is important in regards to who Abigail is, and how it is Charming is able to continue to run off to find Snow like we see him do at the very end of the previous episode... 715 AM. And this episode has most definitely changed my perspective of Princess Abigail and her Storybrooke counterpart... Kathryn. And much to my surprise... I actually really have come to like her a lot more than I ever thought I could. Kathryn was always a fine character for me so far. However, until this episode, a part of me also kind of hated Abigail because she stands in the way of David's and Mary Margaret's love, which is in no way her fault in the slightest. And now, I really actually really like both Abigail and Kathryn. I have a deeper respect for them both. I appreciate and love the direction this episode takes her characters. And I genuinely believe Kathryn's letter would have told David and Mary Margaret she has forgiven them and would have showed them just how kind and understanding she truly is. This episode also makes me feel bad for Abigail, and especially for Kathryn too, because she is the one who is the most hurt by what David and Mary Margaret has done. She most definitely doesn't deserve any of this. David is absolutely in the wrong, even though in his mind, he's trying to spare poor Kathryn's feelings. And not only does he wind up hurting her, but he also winds up hurting Mary Margaret and himself as well. This is why their relationship is destructive. Because it hurts three people and turns everyone in town against David and especially Mary Margaret. Now, everyone sees her as a homewrecker, or tramp. However, David isn't completely the only one at fault in this situation either. Mostly, yes. But Mary Margaret knew that it was wrong to have an affair with David, especially given that Emma has warned her time and time again to stay away from him so long as David remains with Kathryn. Yet she continued to stay with him anyways until now. This is part of what sets Mary Margaret and Snow White apart... Snow never would have made this mistake. Like Charming, she's honorable and good. As Mary Margaret, she's not so brave and she's also very naïve. Snow isn't. This is what the curse does. It doesn't just give everyone false memories, but it makes it a whole lot harder for everyone to be their true selves. This was really first seen in the fifth episode... That Still Small Voice, as Archie struggles deeply with listening to his conscience and standing up to Regina. And this is seen with Mary Margaret, and especially appears to affect David the most. Now... I really love the backstory with Abigail and Charming as they work together to bring Frederick back from having been turned to gold because of King Midas' curse. In the legends of King Midas, it is told that Midas coveted gold and wished to be the wealthiest man he ever knew. One day, he was granted the gift to be able to turn anything he touched into gold so that he could have all the gold he wanted. However, this gift soon became a curse to him, when one night he accidentally touched his daughter with his bare hand that had been imbued with the power to turn all into gold, and she too was turned to gold. Midas mourned for her upon losing her to his wretched curse and she was never saved. This episode is Once Upon a Time's twist on the tales of King Midas, making it so the consequences of her father's curse falls on Abigail instead of her him, as the man she loved is turned to gold protecting Midas in battle instead. And I really love the cleverness of this idea and the new story behind it. I love that Abigail helps Charming to escape from King George and his knights, then the revelation is revealed that she's been so cold towards him because she's in love with another like he's in love with Snow. And I love how she helps Charming to escape so that he can find his True Love. I love the story revealing what happened to Frederick and then seeing Abigail and Charming fight to free him from his curse as Charming offers to help her save him. And I really like Frederick's backstory with him having sacrificed himself to save King Midas from danger, and how's he accidentally turned to gold in doing so. He's a true hero and I am just so happy that Charming is successful in helping Abigail to save him so they too can be together again. This brings me to Charming coming face to face with a siren who lives within the waters of Lake Nostos. A siren who seeks to drown another victim as she's done with so many other victims. In most mythologies, sirens are specifically known for living within the seas, but Lake Nostos is a very powerful lake with magical properties. And in the fairytale world, things are quite different. Also, in regards to Charming and the siren... Sirens are known to have power to seduce men through luring magic that men are unable to resist. Unless of course the love they feel for the women in their lives is true, which is why Charming is strong enough to resist the siren in the long run. However, because of her magic, he really struggles to do so, in spite of knowing she isn't really Snow. He kisses her, not because he's weak, but because of her seductive magic trying to pull him in. The point to take away from this moment is that Charming truly does love Snow White and that true love is what allows him to resist her well enough to survive and to kill her. And in regards to why Charming doesn't leave right away the moment he collected the water before the siren appears... I suspect that a part of him wanted to kill the so called "beast", not knowing what kind of creature guarded the lake, so that no one else would ever be killed because of it should others also come seeking the waters to save their loved ones. I don't know for sure, but I like to believe that his hesitation in leaving and yearning to kill the creature is because he's noble and good. If I'm wrong, then I do agree with you that this whole scene and part of his storyline within this episode would be just silly. But when the siren is unable to lure Charming to his death in her true form, she then takes on the form of Snow White and while Charming absolutely struggles against her luring, he still sees through her seduction and succeeds in killing her, then he at last brings the waters to Abigail to save Frederick. I really enjoy it. Now onto the storylines within Storybrooke... First, in regards to Regina being angry about the letter in the end... Regina is certainly livid, but I feel like at this point, she has most likely been taking time to come up with a plan on how to pull them apart again. However, David's mistakes has certainly sped things up quite a bit, causing Kathryn to leave Storybrooke to go to Boston. As for the letter... Kathryn tells Regina that she left this letter for David, to graciously tell him she hopes he and Mary Margaret will be happy together. And because Regina wants to do everything to keep David and Mary Margaret apart, she is angry upon learning about it and breaks into David's and Kathryn's house with her skeleton keys in order to steal it, then later burns the letter to keep David and Mary Margaret from ever seeing it. Next... In the real world, Frederick is a gym teacher, and sadly we don't ever learn anything more about him in this episode, and he isn't seen much except for when Kathryn first bumps into him at the school on her way to confront Mary Margaret, then again in the very end when he finds Kathryn's car off the side of the road. I feel like this was a missed opportunity, because I would have loved to get to know his Storybrooke counterpart a little too, as well as more of his true self in the backstory too. I really like the end moment between Mary Margaret and Emma, when Emma stays with Mary Margaret to comfort her after everything happened. It's so sad and I feel so bad for Mary Margaret. Kathryn too because she was most definitely hurt. But Mary Margaret is just crushed and she's lost more than just the man she loves. She's lost her reputation and everyone's friendship too. It's so sad. Yes... these are the consequences of people having affairs and why I never condone them for any reasons, but I still feel badly for her. I also love the brief moment between Mary Margaret and Emma in the beginning too, when they're talking in Granny's about Emma already being on to Mary Margaret and David. So cute. :) As for my favorite moments within this episode... They involve learning more about the mysterious stranger, who we now have learned his name is August. August W. Booth and that the W. stands for Wayne. There is a significance to him having this fake name, as it is the same name as a famous real life author. You would have to look up the name to find out if you wish to. Just be careful about what you do look up should you decide to do so. You don't want to get spoiled by who August really is. And you could easily get spoiled if you're not careful. I won't say more about the real life author since you've yet to learn who August is, and in case there are newcomers to Once Upon a Time just now going through your reactions who also have yet to learn who August really is. Just trust me... No one wants to be spoiled. :) But I am happy to have learned this stranger's name finally. And I love it. I also really love that he's continuing to be so mysterious, as we see him doing something with the storybook, appearing to restitch the seam and putting the pages back in after having pulling them out. The question is... Why? :) And I love, love, love the moment between him and Emma after August takes her to the well in the woods and talks with her about the magical properties water can have, as well as the legend behind this well having magical waters with the ability to restore that which was once lost. Just like Frederick was until Charming used the waters from Lake Nostos to revive him. August tells Emma that the waters within the well and running beneath it is told to have magical properties, indicating possibly that the waters from Lake Nostos may have reached over into Storybrooke from the Enchanted Forest. :) I love the parallels within this episode. Also... I love how it shows Emma finding Henry's storybook again in a puddle of water beneath her car, because of ho August spoke to her about the waters within the well supposedly having magical properties to restore that which was lost, and how he believes that if there's any element that has magical properties, it would be water... where the storybook is found. I love that August left it in the puddle for Emma to find on purpose, in hope of getting Emma to begin believing in magic. As for whether or not Henry has any love or feelings at all towards Regina... Of course he does. It's just that right now, he's really struggling with the fact that he's figured out his mother is really the Evil Queen and that she will stop at nothing to tear everyone apart and to destroy those he loves. He's angry with her. And in regards to the red spray paint can seen in Regina's desk drawer... It is meant to reveal that it was Regina who spray painted the word TRAMP on the side of Mary Margaret's car in order to help fuel the ridicule and cruelty being spread around about Mary Margaret. And this is also why Mary Margaret is the one being shown getting ridiculed too. Maybe David is being shunned and ridiculed too, but we certainly never see it. Unfortunately and wrongly in real life, men rarely suffer from the consequences of the man's and woman's wrongdoings. Mostly the women are seen as the guilty person in most cases, in spite of the men being just as guilty. And I'm not saying that just because I'm a woman. It's just the way things are, unfortunately. The women are usually that much more wicked for being the harlots, than for the men simply being pigs, or praised. It's so wrong. Overall... I really enjoy this episode, and I had a lot of fun watching your reaction for it. My only real upset is David not appearing as Charming and doing the right thing, because Charming is one of my favorite characters introduced into the show that you've seen so far. It hurts to see a character I love so much appear so weak, when he's not truly like that. However, all of this that's happened between David, Mary Margaret, and Kathryn has had to happen for what's to come. And boy... things are heating up!! So, thank you so much, Travis! I can't wait for more!!! I look forward to more reactions to come! :) Until next time, my friend... Sincerely, Heidi
