This show is just amazing, I love all the different relationships between the characters and how they intertwine and they all basically end up betraying each other even the people they love. I'm pretty sure that whole Abby and David thing was her feeling like something was off with how she found out he abused his ex. Because her brain is telling her one thing but it feels wrong to her. I think she slapped him to see how he would react, because a violent man would have reacted violently. So she proved to herself that he's not that kind of guy.
