I love Brooke but she was annoying me for most of this episode. I understand her anger at Peyton because for Brooke this is literally history repeating itself. But her anger towards Lucas at least for the first half of the episode makes no sense. He has not done anything and doesn't know anything. She immediately began blaming him for Peyton having feelings that as far as she knows have not been reciprocated. Lucas was absolutely right she has been looking for a reason to end the relationship ever since they got back together. Because while I do think the love is there they don't have anything in common. All of their discussions are either about other people's relationships or them arguing about their own relationship. Rachel needs therapy and I feel like she is a cautionary tale about what happens to girls that never learn to love themselves first. Because instead of her parents paying for her plastic surgery they should've been paying for a decent therapist. For the entire season she has been desperate for attention and when she doesn't get it she goes nuclear. This is one of the best season finales ever. The writers really did a great job shaping this episode. And as much as I hated waiting for the season 4 premiere they had to end the season on that cliffhanger. It's the easiest way of insuring the show gets picked up for another season. Because if you have enough people talking about the finale the network will have no choice but to renew a show.

I love them all individually, but man, Lucas, Peyton and Brooke always rub me the wrong way where their weird triangle is concerned. Brooke's super upset about being betrayed and all the things she's got going on - when those things are generally good things. Like her clothing line and her relationship are pretty good before she finds out about Peyton liking Lucas too. Whereas Peyton's life has been a complete shitshow this entire season - I literally don't know how she's getting out of bed in the mornings. Neither of them have been really intune with each other for a good while, I don't like the state their friendship was in even before the blowout, like they need to get their shit together. Lucas has always been a pretty bad boyfriend to Brooke, even when he wasn't in a bad place (what with losing Keith and Basketball all within what felt like a week). They've just never been able to give each other what they needed. They're hot and they've got chemistry, but I just don't see it in the long run. And Brooke knows it too, deep down. She's known since season 1 when she first would get upset about Peyton having a lot more in common with Lucas than she herself. I get she's upset and that she wishes Peyton didn't have feelings for Lucas. But what exactly would she have wanted Peyton to do? Not say anything? That would have made her upset too when she found out. There's just no winning in this situation. sigh. Waiting impatiently for season 4 - it's going to be a banger!

Team Peyton all the way ! Her chemistry with Lucas is off the charts compared to Brooke and Lucas. I like Brooke but not for Lucas. It was just so obvious from season 1 that Lucas and Peyton are endgame like you said :)
