So I got in contact with artist JohnDoe. We've been playing around with each other's stuff and concepts for the past couple of weeks now and it's been really fun. Though it pushes me to get into more adult oriented stuff than I might normally, I find the exercise pretty gratifying. Basically we spent some time together concepting out a hypnosis/mind-controlly kinda peril thing and seemed to hit each other's secret buttons for this relatively obscure kink.

He goes a LOT more adult oriented than I do and has some material that people would find pretty offensive. He gets into "non-con" fantasies in a way that would be a turn off for a number of my fans. This leaves me in a bit of an odd position where I'd like to support him, but I'm also particular about not scaring off my own fan base. But if my fan base doesn't get where I'm going, are they really the fans for me?

Lots of questions. In the moment though it's been a real blast playing with different ideas. And he seems to like "my" Cassandra Cain universe almost as much as I do. For good or ill.

If your fans really are loyal to you, they won't be turned off by you doing less wholesome stuff than you do now. As far as I'm concerned you could draw Collette in more mature, uncensored kinkier stuff that leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination. As long as you're not going into the obviously illegal stuff, I'm with you all the way. Also Cass commission?

First off thanks for introducing me to JD. I love that latex-Cass-MC he posted, I instantly joined his Patreon and will commission him as soon as a slot opens up. All three of those things are my fave sort of things :D I get where you are coming from. My Tumblr exists only to keep track of blogs. I only like and reblog to encourage the original poster. I have few followers, never speak to them and make no original posts. But I still worry sometimes if something I might re-blog is too adult for them. I guess it is even worse for you since this is your business and livelihood. Plus I know you struggle with anxiety and depression worse than mine which I am sure doesn't help your concerns. I'm certainly not going to tell you to just do what you like and fuck the critics. Still, speaking for myself I love this stuff. As I have probably made clear by now your sexy art is my fave, especially Cass. I want you keep drawing it but more importantly I want you to draw what you enjoy and want to draw.
