This is more practice than anything but it shows off a couple things I'd been working on. There's this pretty quick method using just a standard drawing brush and an air brush that's pretty great and defining shapes really quickly. It's nice for very stylish cartoonish characters or superheroes with ridiculous muscle definition and strong ink work.

It's sort of a really simple two tone process of swapping between an airbrush and a standard brush and layering them together. It's tricky to put it down into words but very easy to show if you see it in action.

The other thing I'm working on is just muscles in general. With some studies and some practice, I feel like I've made some progress with anatomy. I still cheat a lot and fudge a lot of things I have no buisness fudging. But I'm becoming more aware of what muscles should be going where. I can't devote a long time to studying, anatomy being only one part of the whole process that goes into making a comic. But getting better makes that one stage just that much easier.
