this one was pretty straightforward from sketch to final lines, with only a couple small adjustments at the end. This commissioner wanted a picture of their goblin character, Bud, getting a warm snuggle from a friendly gnoll, on Bud's first night spent away from home.

The commissioner hasn't decided yet whether or not they'd like to have me add color later, but I'm happy with how the inks look by themselves, too. Rendering is nice, but sometimes I really like the look of plain clean lineart. I try to use line weight to suggest form and shadow even without any shading painted in.

you definitely get the suggestion of shadow from line weight. ive always struggled with line weight myself, its really fascinating to see the variation in your lines!
