In Thai mythology, love between Naga and Garuda would be like black and white in XIX century in USA... In Bouddhisism, Garuda were considere as evil but Buddha converted them. in Hinduism, both Naga and Garuda are incarnation of Vishnu in which they are in harmony. That being said, yes, agree with you, it will be difficult to go beyond this series. GMM is more the ''fast-food'' of BLs with some exceptionnally bad or good series. Mandee ? I only like Why R U ? But then again, I maybe not the best one to judge.
