The OVAs are great. The first one is more on the funny side but has a lot of little eggs that come relevant in season 2. The second one is more on the serious side and sets important context for season 2, not needed to watch season 2 but definitely a plus.

Quick note for Ben: Betelgeuse was not a "Finger" of Sloth, he was the Sin Archbishop of Sloth. The Fingers were just 10 of Betelgeuse's strongest/most devoted followers, which he could use as vessels after his main body was defeated.

After seen the director's cut ending, this ending seen a little shallow. Yes, it show that scene in season 2 first episode, but it impact less I think.
