WE ARE GETTING MORE SUGGESTIONS THAN EXPECTED SO WE WILL WAIT ANOTHER DAY OR SO BEFORE OUR POLL IN ORDER TO ENSURE YOU GUYS HAVE TIME TO COMMENT!

yo! Ben here ^^ SO after having a poll go out on YouTube yesterday, it became clear that the timing of a poll with shows released this year made little to no sense. We just finished/started pretty new shows so why would our next poll be more of the same? About every show we have watched on AutoSave has been from your guys' suggestions and we have adored about every single one of the. Please comment down below suggestions for this poll.

We will be shelving the poll currently on YouTube and replacing it with a new poll tomorrow night consisting of 5 shows that you guys suggest to us! It would be beneficial if the shows were not released in 2024 as in the past we have tried to make efforts to separate polls based off of year of release in order to account for recency bias.

We WILL be rereleasing the previous poll but as I said initially, it doesn't make too much sense to add another brand-new show right now.

I recommend evangelion once again!! its the most important piece of fiction ever to me. just pure soul and consciousness in every second of it, the creator was struggling with depression for years during the production and he said that he poured everything of himself in the show, and it shows, in such a deeply honest and human way, so much so he started hating it later because of how painfully personal it was to him, which is why it has imo the most relatable and human characters I've ever seen. there's nothing like it. a work of unparalleled genius (in the writing and the direction) and exceptional honesty and humanity.

I don’t know why I hadn’t even considered Evangelion, it seems like a perfect pick for their thorough and analytical approach!

I also checked the comments on YouTube. There, "Summertime Rendering" and "March Comes in Like a Lion" were also mentioned a lot. It seems there's not much difference between the anime mentioned here and there, but when I see a title that wasn't mentioned here, I feel "Oh!" with joy and surprise. I haven't seen that anime, but it makes me a little happy to realize that it hasn't been forgotten as someone's favorite.
