Yeowoobi is my fav after Dice! If you haven’t watched it yet…… the Blue mv from his first album is amazing! The album Blue is timeless… I still play it…a lot!

Yay I didn't realise you were doing the album as well as the MV on YouTube. I think everyone was surprised by the album genre.. It has a 80s New wave vibe which gives it that retro feel but the harmonics and vocals brings it straight upto date with a modern fresh feel. Its not an album that I think you can appreciate fully on the first couple of listens..there's too much going on production wise. My favourites have changed since the beginning of the week..currently 1st is On the Way for the sheer vocal gymnastics Jinki pulls off (and that live stage😆🔥)..2nd Love Phobia, not sure why ..it just speaks to me. Yeowoobi (Meaning Fox Rain ..when it's raining while the sun is shining) is probably my least favourite atm but that doesn't mean much as I love them all..In the Whale was written by Jinki for Shawols. I initially found the sythn snare in the chorus of In The Whale distracted me from the vocals but the more I hear it the more I love it and the lower register vocals😍. Sunshine is just that.. sunny, fun and chill. The title song is a tie for 2nd bc I just can't stop singing it..and the MV is so cool. Onew wanted to show his vocal versatility and not just be seen as the ballad singer...and he's done that in spades..There's certainly complex vocals in most of the songs that are hard to pull off but Jinki does it.. No to the freckles, just a look..This freckle fashion I find slightly annoying in general just because I spent my childhood being teased for mine and my teens covering them up..and now everyone's painting them on..grr..😆.

Blue Album is amazing..Sign and Your Scent are my favourites. It's the most soothing album I own..

onew's falsetto

his voice tickles my brain like no one else. for me, after many(MANY) listens, my order goes love phobia, on my way, sunshine, dice, in the whale, yeowoobi. but for real, jinki is so versatile.

The freckles are fake but I love them a lot, especially with the bathrobe outfit! "I need a cha cha beat boy" is Cha Cha Malone's producer tag, he does mainly RnB, and a lot with Jay Park. Yeowoobi means "fox rain" which is what they call sun showers in Korea, it's based on a folk tale about bittersweet love. It feels very dreamy to me, almost like being hypnotised. In The Whale is my favourite, I love that underwater effect too! I always enjoy synthwavey sounds. He submitted lyrics for every track but that was the only one that SM accepted 😭 He said that he just happened to imagine what if he were stuck in a whale with shawols? We would take care of each other. He wrote it on a camping trip. I enjoy the chill yet upbeat vibe he went for, it's really what I enjoy listening to the most. He showed off the versatility of his voice without belting high notes which feels refreshing. I actually love his ballad album too, especially now that he has sung all of them live (except the title track Blue haha). He sings Sign in the solo medley from the RIngtone Live that you haven't seen yet. Key's Bad Love album was also amazing, I think it's the only SHINee album from the last two years that you haven't listened to yet, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on it. If you do though you can't skip the Mood Sampler it's 60s SciFi camp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4tqVGD41XU

The "I won't whose love" makes no sense to me either!!!! I had the same double take listening to On the Way; the Cha Cha took me straight to "All I Wanna Do" by Jay Park.

I think In the Whale is my favorite too but I really like the first three tracks. I wasn't that into On the Way until he performed it on the music shows like M Countdown, but he's really giving it all!! He makes everyone step up on the singing, I'm sure. Thanks for doing this RJ!
