Symptoms is just them showing off their vocals to the extreme, the adlibs go crazy near the end. Queen of New York is my favourite! I always thought of it as jazzy I guess, almost a latin ballroom feel sometimes? Genres are difficult haha. I love their more out there experimental songs like One Minute Back, I feel like SM always threw those more sonically boundary pushing tracks at SHINee or f(x), maybe TVXQ as well. Of course that's before NCT came around! I like how they sound all singing together in the chorus of Destination. It's interesting to hear your thoughts about the nananas etc! I guess you must be someone for whom lyrics are really important in music? This might be controversial but I think one of the reasons that drew me to kpop in the first place was that I could't understand the lyrics and just heard everything as sounds so nananas don't bother me at all. If there are lyrics that a member wrote or that are particularly lauded I'll read them like poetry rather than watch a lyric video. It's nice to hear a different perspective. I get what you mean about Close The Door sounding like an ending, but the tracklist sort of follows the order of their typical concert segments, starting with the most intense, fun/bright and sexy in the middle, ballads near the end and fan songs to finish. Next time you feel like doing an album listen I recommend Married To The Music, or if you'd rather a mini then Sherlock!
