I can tell that re-cap video you mentioned before this season really helped! Most reactors had forgotten about the prison realm plan by this point. From the first time we see Geto in season 1, he's already got the stitching on his forehead, so you were right - it's been a fake Geto this whole time, at least in the present time with Yuji and crew. The real Suguru Geto from the flashback arc died at the end of the JJK 0 movie. So there's the reason Geto's goals changed between then and now.. it's two entirely different people 😭. Anyway, Domain Amplification! It's an advanced technique that requires the user to already know how to do a domain expansion. They use a smaller amount of cursed energy to deploy their domain just enough to form a small barrier around their body. Since domain expansion nullifies the cursed techniques of others, they can use it to bypass Gojo's Infinity. When Gojo jumped out of the way and made Jogo and Hanami hit eachother last episode, it was because he could sense they were about to break through his Infinity. If they had used a full domain expansion in this scenario instead, Gojo would have been forced to deploy his to override it and would have immediately kill them both. By the way, domain expansion is something only the most elite sorcerers can ever do. It seems only Gojo among all the current sorcerers can do it. It's a REALLY big deal that Megumi has started to unlock his! That also puts into perspective how much trouble these new special grade curses are (Jogo, Hanami, Mahito) since they can all do it too. and the other confusing thing recently, Simple Domain: As Mechamaru put it, it's a domain for the weak. A barrier technique known only by a few that can be taught to sorcerers who cannot create their own domain expansion - for the purpose of protecting them from the sure-hit effect of another's domain and buying time. Any sorcerer caught in a domain is basically dead if they dont have their own, so simple domain was developed as a way to survive strong special grade curses in hopes that their allies can save them. Mechamaru learned it by watching Miwa, who learned it from her mentor.
