Who should inherit Casterly Rock? (Patreon)

As you know, the tide of the war is slowly turning against House Lannister. The question remains, who should inherit the Rock and its gold mines? The succession laws dictate Tyrion should inherit the castle. But circumstances are not so conducive for our favourite dwarf, thanks to Tywin.

Tyrion is smart enough to think long term and not just obsess over rekindling lannister glory so he would make a good leader for rebuilding the west, and the fact the he will be looked down on as a dwarf means that the west will be divided for a longer time period meaning its something the baratheon dynasty would be interested in doing. Not to mention that most lords would consider placing Tywins most hated son as the lord of his lands would be an insult to his precious legacy and as such would be amenable to such an idea

Whilst Tyrion is considered as the lowest of the Lannisters it would be important to remember the family name. The Lannisters may hate each other, but would band together against outside threats. Leaving any of the Lannisters in charge would be very dangerous because the location and defensive nature of Casterly Rock but also because they would remember their original status and yearn to rise again. And wouldn't Tyrion simply wait to take revenge on Robert or Stannis, like Dorne with his family, or go out to the Free Cities and hire as many assassins as possible with their gold.
