Julie the Naked Delver is at it again, thanks to me playing around with AI-generated background art!

Yeah, using that AI tool seems to be working really well I have say. Usually I’m not really excited for AI generated content but your use of it makes for a satisfying end product. All the better that it helps you with the most challenging part and helps you produce quickly.

Awesome use of the AI background! Julie is *amazing* as always! :D Great to see her taking advantage of new technologies. Which AI tool are you using?

I was pretty dubious about the whole thing until I started playing around with some of them. I think it's a great tool for spitballing ideas and coming up with things that I wouldn't normally have thought to try.

Stable Diffusion seems the most useful to me of the ones I've tried. DALL-E is actually pretty amazing at coming up with realistic stuff, but not so useful in my process. For example, I wanted a picture of a robed sorcerer to use for reference, but everything DALL-E came up with literally looked like they found a random LARPer and dressed him in a cheap Halloween costume before taking a photograph. I mean, it is probably what a real sorcerer would look like, but not really what I was going for there.

2023-03-30 07:24:05 Sweet! I am running Stable Diffusion via Blender, and I'm loving the way I can just give it crazy descriptions and get back really fun results. It's not a 'finished art' tool at all, but as an 'ideas tool' or a 'reference tool' it's amazing and wonderful. <3

I was just rereading the novella the other day. That is such a good piece of work. Also this looks great.
