And so my journey took me beyond the familiar hills of Tinkerton, through bustling cities and sleepy hamlets, into the heart of ancient forests and over the crest of snow-capped mountains. In every place, I shared my laughter, my tricks, and my joy for life. Children would chase after me, their giggles echoing in the air, while the elders looked on with bemused smiles, reminded of their own youthful mischief.

But it wasn't just the laughter I was after; it was the spark of magic in every heart, the light of wonder in every eye. In the twilight of enchanted woods, I'd sit with the fae folk, exchanging stories and spells until the stars themselves seemed to laugh in the night sky.

One moonlit night, as I shared tales with a wise old owl perched upon my shoulder, a revelation came to me. The spells I sought, the magic that truly represented me, wasn't just about the grand gestures or the booming laughter; it was about the subtle twinkles of joy, the small surprises that could turn an ordinary day into a tale worth telling.

With this newfound understanding, my magic transformed. It became more personal, more heartfelt. The illusions I conjured were no longer just for show; they were reflections of the joy and wonder I found in the world and in the hearts of those I met.

Years turned into decades, and my adventures became legends in their own right. Tales of Gigglewick, the gnome wizard whose magic could make flowers sing and stones tell stories, spread far and wide. And though I may have grown older, my heart remained ever young, forever chasing the next laugh, the next wonder, the next spell that would bring a little more joy into the world.

Gigglewick's Mischievous Mirror

2nd-Level Illusion

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 60 feet

Components: V, S, M (a small hand mirror and a piece of chalk)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard

You conjure an illusory, magical mirror at a point within range. This mirror creates an enchantment in a 30-foot cone from its surface. Every creature within the cone must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, creatures are affected by the spell for the duration.

Affected creatures see everything in a comically distorted way, as if through a funhouse mirror, causing exaggerated and humorous alterations in appearance. While under the spell's effect, these creatures find everything hilariously funny, becoming distracted and disoriented. They suffer disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and on any ability check that requires concentration due to uncontrollable laughter.

Additionally, affected creatures become immune to being frightened, as their sense of fear is overridden by amusement.

At the end of each of its turns, and each time it takes damage, an affected creature can make another Wisdom saving throw. The target has advantage on this saving throw if it’s triggered by damage. The spell ends for a creature if the save succeeds, or if the caster's concentration is broken.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the length of the cone increases by 10 feet for each slot level above 2nd.
