🐐 The air in the dense forest is thick with tension, the only sound being the distant rustling of leaves. Your party, cautiously navigating the underbrush, halts as your path is blocked by a snarling pack of goblins, their crude weapons glinting in the dappled sunlight.

"Watch out!" you hear from behind.

Turning, you see your companion, the mage, stepping forward. His eyes are ablaze with arcane energy, his hands weaving through the air with practiced precision. The air around his fingers shimmers as he utters the final incantation of a spell.

"Meh-eh-eh," a ghostly sound echoes suddenly, drawing everyone's attention.

Next to the mage, the air ripples and twists, and from this distortion emerges a spectral goat, ethereal and faintly glowing with magical energy. It looks almost unreal, translucent and shimmering, with eyes that burn with a fierce, otherworldly light.

The goblins, momentarily startled by this apparition, hesitate. That's all the time the spectral goat needs. It charges forward, hooves barely making a sound on the forest floor, moving straight towards the nearest goblin with an unstoppable momentum. Its head is lowered, horns aimed like deadly spears.

The mage, still chanting, directs the ghostly creature with a pointed finger, his face a mask of concentration. The rest of your party readies their weapons, knowing this is just the beginning of the skirmish.

The goblin's eyes widen in terror as the spectral goat closes the distance, its headbutt poised to strike with the full force of the spell behind it.

The forest, for a moment, holds its breath. 🐐

Greel's Suddenly Goat

1st-level Conjuration

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 10 feet

Components: V, S

Duration: Instantaneous

Classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard

When you cast this spell, a spectral goat is conjured in an unoccupied space you can see within range.

Upon casting, choose a direction for the goat. The goat has a movement speed of 40 feet and must move in a straight line for at least 10 feet before it can make its headbutt attack. The attack is made against a creature of your choice that it can reach within this movement. Perform a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d8 bludgeoning damage.

If the attack roll is a critical hit, the target is stunned until the start of your next turn.

Regardless of the attack's outcome, the goat vanishes immediately after making its headbutt attack, leaving no physical trace.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a 2nd- or 3rd-level spell slot, you conjure one additional goat. When you cast this spell using a 4th- or 5th-level spell slot, you conjure one additional goat. When you cast this spell using a 6th level spell slot or higher, you conjure one additional goat.
