🐉✨🛡️ As the dragons soared above, locked in their eternal dance of dominance, their fiery breath cascaded down upon the shield, each lick of flame imparting the essence of the dragonkind. And when the heavens wept for the devastation wrought below, the shield was quenched in the tears of the weeping sky, giving rise to a spectral gleam that danced upon its surface. The rain did more than cool the metal; it bound the sorrow of the skies with the wrath of the flame, forging a shield 🐉✨🛡️

Aegis of the Dragonlord

Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement)

This majestic shield radiates ancient power. Intricate sigils thrum with draconic energy, and the central dragon’s eyes gleam with a spectral fire, promising both protection and retribution.

While wearing and attuned to the shield, you gain a +3 to your AC.

The shield contains 20 charges and regains 2d6+4 expended charges each dawn.

Whenever you are subjected to acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage, you can expend one charge and use your reaction for the shield to absorb some of the energy, granting you resistance to that damage type until the start of your next turn.

As an action, you can expend one charge to release the shield's stored energy in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 17), taking 6d8 damage of the stored energy's type on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
