🌑💀⚔️ Doom's Battlewear, as these sets came to be known, were not crafted but rather born from the confluence of dread sorcery and masterful artisanship. To don such armor is to become one with the shadows, to strike with the inevitability of death itself, and to vanish as if one were never there. 🌑💀⚔️

Doom’s Battlewear

Armor (studded leather), very rare (requires attunement by a rogue)

Forged in the depths of a forgotten shadow realm, this studded leather armor is interwoven with strands of darkness and whispers of the end.

While attuned to the battlewear, if you succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against an effect that allows a saving throw to take only half damage, you can also take the Hide action as a part of the successful save.

Doom Strike. Upon scoring a critical hit with a melee weapon, the dark energy within Doom's Battlewear surges, empowering you. You can immediately move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks. As part of the same action, you can make another attack against the same target or a different one within range. For this additional attack, all of your expended rogue abilities (such as Sneak Attack) are considered available, even if they had been used earlier in the turn.

However, should this empowered attack miss, the dark energy recoils upon you. You feel a portion of your life force wane as shadows flicker with disapproval. You suffer necrotic damage equal to twice the level of your rogue class, and you cannot use the Hide action or benefit from invisibility until the end of your next turn.

You regain the use of this ability after you complete a long rest.
