Hellspawn's Grasp

Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)

Forged in the fiery depths, these gauntlets glow with an inner fire and a malevolent presence. Emblazoned with the visage of a fearsome archdevil, they seem to pulse with a dark power. Shadowy figures appear to be trapped within, their silhouettes pressing against the metal as if seeking escape.

While attuned to these gauntlets, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a reaction to being damaged, at its lowest level without expending a spell slot (spell save DC 15). After casting hellish rebuke in this way, this ability cannot be used again until you complete a long rest. Additionally, when you cast hellish rebuke using the gauntlets and the attacker takes damage, your hit point maximum increases by an amount equal to the damage dealt by the spell. This increase lasts until your next long rest.
