🪄🧙‍♂️🪙 In a time before kingdoms and crowns, the realms knew of but one defender against the arcane mysteries that plagued the lands: the lone Enchanter. Not a sword for hire, but a beacon of knowledge amidst darkness. Villagers, unable to offer gold or jewels, would craft these coins in gratitude. Each coin, infused with gratitude and belief, became a token of luck. Over time, they became lost or buried, yet some say that to possess such a coin is to have the old world's magic at your side. The saying goes, "Toss a coin to your wizard," a nod to the age-old tradition of seeking the Enchanter's guidance. 🪄🧙‍♂️🪙

Wizard's Tribute Coin

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement by a wizard)

Silver coin etched with a detailed wizard and ancient glyphs. The arcane symbols subtly translate to "Toss a coin to your wizard."

When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, you can add this coin as a material component, enhancing the spell in one of the following ways:

  • If the spell has a duration of 1 minute, its duration extends to 10 minutes.
  • If the spell is instantaneous and has a range, you can choose to double its range.
  • If the spell requires creatures to make a saving throw, you can force all affected creatures to make their first saving throw against the spell with disadvantage.

Once you use the coin in this manner, you can't use it again until the next dawn.
